Gintama is a shonen anime based on the manga of the same name. It's a series beloved by many due to its off-beat humor and mostly episodic structure. At the time of writing this guide, Gintama has 367 episodes out of which only 22 are filler. So the fillers make up only 6% of the whole anime, unlike Naruto Shippuden, where the fillers make up almost 50% of the whole series. So overall, if you do decide to watch all of Gintama's filler episodes, it won't take you more than 9 hours, which isn't bad at all when compared to other long-running shows.

Weirdly enough Gintama's very first episode is a filler. But don't let that fool you as it's not really setting the stage for what's to come. What I think about Gintama's filler episode

Golf v fsi repair manual. Although some of the filler episodes can be a bit on the boring side, I personally enjoy most of them. Since Gintama is a comedy show that sometimes even parodies other anime, the fillers feel at home. Yup, they manage to capture that Gintama magic to the point that if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't even know they were fillers.
